This is something I should explain. We heard it from former CSC Nigeria participants so were somewhat prepared, but it is still something that takes some getting used to. Nigeria time means waiting. If you go to a restaurant, regardless of the $$, chances are you wait an hour or more for your food. If you have a meeting at 10am, chances are it will occur sometime between 11am and close of business that day. Time is very fluid here to say the least so our group has (and continues to) become used to waiting around.
The restaurant thing is interesting though because we learned that the wait is usually due to the kitchen being out of whatever it is you ordered. Rather than telling you they don’t have it, they run out to buy the ingredients and then come back and prepare it. The best way to order here is to ask the server what they recommend because they will usually recommend only what’s already in the kitchen.
