The US women's national soccer team beat North Korea 2-0 today in their opening match in the Women's World Cup. Their next match is this Saturday against Colombia, who lost today against Sweden.
For those wondering how this relates to Nigeria, well the Super Falcons are one of two African teams that qualified for the tournament. Unfortunately they started the tournament with a loss to France, and their bracket gets tougher from there as they next face Germany and then Canada.
Unfortunately, I could not watch the US - Korea match here, but I will see the final match of the Cup in Frankfurt on July 17. Go USA!!!
